An IsDB Group mission headed by Director of IsDB Group Regional Hub Turkiye (RHT), Dr. Walid Abdelwahab, visited the capital city of Baku to discuss and co-create the Group’s Country Engagement Framework (CEF) with Azerbaijan.

A mission from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has met with H.E. Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and IsDB Governor for Pakistan; H.E. Ms. Anita Turab, Joint Secretary IsDB Division, and IsDB Alternate Governor for Pakistan, as well as H.E. Dr. Kazim Niaz, Secretary for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and IsDB Executive Director.

The Board of Executive directors of the Bank, at its 344th meeting held on 13 February 2022, approved a total of EUR 297.67 million for 3 Member Countries under the Regional Hub of Dakar. These are: EUR 35.14 million for Phase 3 of the Hydro-Agricultural Development Project in Upper Sassandra and Fromager Regions in Cote d’Ivoire, EUR 24.30 million for Phase 2 of the Development of Technical and Vocational Education Project, Guinea, and EUR 238.23 million for the Construction of the Dakar – Tivaouane - Saint Louis Highway/ Mékhé - Saint Louis Project.

The Operations Team from Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Regional Hub Turkey (RHT) holds a technical meeting to discuss the plans and progress for co-financing and joint processing of the Mohmand Dam and Hydropower Project (MDHP) in Pakistan, with representatives of Arab Coordination Group (ACG) members, namely Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), and Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

The Islamic Development Bank, the main financier of the Konya-Ankara High Speed Train, is now joining hands with its major Turkish development partners, for financing Konya’s Suburban Railway Project which is to connect major suburban industrial zones to the city center.
