H.E. Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser Chairman, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group

Dr. Al Jasser was elected by the IsDB Board of Governors in early July 2021 to lead the AAA-rated institution for five years. He assumed office as Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group on August 9, 2021. He served as the Minister of Economy and Planning and Governor and Board Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. Now the Saudi Central Bank-ٍِSAMA.

IsDB-Financed Bridge Easing Urban Congestion for 30,000 Vehicles Inaugurated by Côte d'Ivoire's President

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, 17 August 2023: In a momentous event that marked a milestone in Côte d'Ivoire's development, H.E. Alassane Ouattara, the President of Côte d'Ivoire, officiated the inauguration of the highly anticipated Cocody Bridge on Saturday, August 12th, 2023. 

The Cocody Bridge, an architectural marvel and a key component of the Cocody Bay Development initiative, came to fruition through a joint effort, with the Islamic Development Bank playing a pivotal role. At an estimated total cost of EUR 530 million, the project exemplifies urban mobility and advancement. The Islamic Development Bank's substantial contribution of approximately EUR 260 million has been integral to the bridge's realization. View More
