Islamic Development Bank Issues Largest Sustainability Sukuk Ever
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 25 March 2021 - The Islamic Development Bank ("IsDB") raised US$ 2.5 billion with its Sustainability Sukuk, which is also its biggest US$ public issuance to date.

IsDB Approves US $262 Million to Upgrade Emergency Preparedness of Six National Referral Hospitals in Indonesia
Jakarta, Indonesia, October 2020 – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has approved to provide millions of dollars of financing for a new health project in Indonesia titled; “Strengthening of National Referral Hospitals and Vertical Technical Units”. The approval came during an IsDB Board of Executive Directors meeting held on 19 September 2020.
On August 20-21st, 2019, The Indonesia Africa Infrastructure Dialogue (IAID) took place in Bali, Indonesia. The Head of IsDB RHI participated in the panel discussion on financing scheme and delivered remarks on how the IsDB group can help bridge the financing and investment between Indonesia and Africa.
On August 13th – 14th, 2019, The IsDB Group held a Case Study Writing Workshop, which was organized by the Knowledge Management and Institutional Learning Division of ERIL and the Regional Hub of Indonesia.
The 2018 Annual Report of the Lives and Livelihood Fund
On August 8th, 2019, the IsDB launched its 2018 Annual Report of the Lives and Livelihood Fund (LLF). This report was made in collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IsDB Group, ISFD, King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center, and the Qatar Fund for Development.
On July 26th, 2019, a delegation from the “ Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia- Thailand Sub-Regional Cooperation (CIMT) “ - based in Malaysia – and led by Mr. Firdaus Dahlan (Director) visited the RHI.
Meeting Between the Executive Governor of Sokoto State and the Regional Hub Indonesia
On July 25th, 2019, H.E. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State met with the IsDB Group RHI team to discuss potential areas of cooperation between Sokoto State and the Islamic Development Bank group, within the context of Indonesia.
IsDB Co-hosts the 4th Annual Islamic Finance Conference with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
The 4th Annual Islamic Finance Conference (AIFC) is being held in Surabaya, Indonesia on the 24th-25th July 2019. This year’s theme is Blending Islamic Finance and Impact Investing for the SDGs. IsDB along with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia co-organizes the AIFC annually.
